One month ago, I shared on my Instagram stories that I was getting a Hydrafacial at my favorite medical spa, Stay Beautiful Medspa. Since so many of you sent over questions on the HydraFacial, today I’m answering those and sharing my experience! It’s my personal favorite way to “reset” my skin! 

First, here are two unedited pictures that show the before (left) and 24 hours after (right).

You can see that my skin had an uneven texture and was both red and congested. On the right, my pores are clear, redness is gone (CRAZY!) and texture is smooth. Plus, it’s much more hydrated!

My Honest Review of the HydraFacial

WHAT IS THE HYDRAFAICAL?

The HydraFacial is a medical grade facial treatment that cleanses, extracts and hydrates skin in three steps. Skin is left feeling clean, bright and plump after treatment in as little as 30 minutes.

HOW MUCH DOES THE HYDRAFACIAL COST?

The price will range depending on the medspa.

WHAT WERE YOUR RESULTS?

Immediately after the HydraFacial, my skin always feels baby soft and has a refreshing glow. Any areas that were red or congested, like the pores around my nose, feel much congested and appear super clear and clean.

The texture of my skin is also reset due to the exfoliation and manual extractions and intense hydration that the serums provide. Make up applied beautiful after since your skin is like a blank canvas.

I love HydraFacials and try to get them twice a quarter. Like I mentioned above, they really are a “reset” for my skin.

Depending on your skin concerns or type, know that the treatment can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, tighten pores, reduce acne breakouts, remove blackheads and stimulate collagen production on your skin.

HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?

This will vary per person and may also depend on how diligent you are with your at-home skincare routine.

I’m one month post-HydraFacial and am still reaping the benefits. Not only is my texture still very smooth making for a beautiful make up application, but my pores are still clear and skin congestion/redness are both still at bay.

CAN I GET A HYDRAFACIAL WITH A HORMONAL BREAK OUT, ROSECEA, ETC.?
