12 WARM + CUTE SWEATERS FOR VALENTINE’S DATE NIGHT

Valentine’s date night outfit ideas are always super cute, right? Each retailer’s curated feed of suggested outfits starts with some cute heels, a neutral bag and a cheeky red or pink dress and ta-daa!

Uh, no.Β It’s like -15* here on Valentine’s Day. I’m certainly not going to walk through the streets of Boston’s North End for our reservation in that! In college? Yes. Now? No.

Us girls that live in cold climates can still look super cute while dressing for the actual weather and not catching a cold πŸ™‚

My personal favorite is throwing on a sweater that covers your bum and pairing with leggings. These faux leather leggings bring your outfit up a notch in formalness compared to regular cotton, plus they are very comfy and flattering. I’ve convinced a lot of my girlfriend’s to try them and they rave haven’t looked back! They run large, so go down one size.

From there, you can make it a tad sassier with OTK boots or flirty with a fun flat [just keep them pointed toe to elongate your legs]. You can also add more of a play on the holiday by adding on statement jewels like this or this.

And of course, you can always just pair with a pair of sleek black denim or dark wash jeans for a date night vibe. I own both of those pairs linked. They run true size and are the perfect mix of stretch and structure to be super flattering.

Anywho – Today I listed out twelve sweaters that are warm and cute for your Valentine’s date night! Six are appropriate to wear with leggings and six are great with jeans!

You don’t need to freeze ya bum off to look nice and festive πŸ™‚ I hope this is helpful for my Boston girls. Xo Mindy
