Maxi dresses make getting dressed so simple. Throw it on, layer on some accessories and go. No need to worry about matching tops with bottoms, whether your legs are shaved or if your self tan is great from top to bottom. The best!

I recently found this floral maxi dress [also here and here]

Today I wanted to chat through a few different options to style a maxi in for fall!

3 TIPS FOR STYLING A MAXI DRESS FOR FALL

1 // Tights: Always a classic go-to! Not only are they great for layering into ankle booties or flats, they also keep you warm!

This pair is my favorite because they smooth you out, last for years [if you don’t snag them] and are opaque. And they are only $8! They run true to size.

2 // OTK boots: This was a different “style” for me and I really liked it! Over-the-knee boots are super versatile and made for a cozy layer under this maxi dress.

I’m wearing Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee Lowland boots which don’t slug down, are very high quality and easy to walk in. I went up 1/2 a size.

There are so many great dupes our there though, like this pair and this pair.

3 // Belt: I can’t wait to wear this maxi dress out and about with a belt to cinch the waist. That will give a bit more structure to the style and make a rather boho looking dress appear more put together!

S recently gifted me this belt for our Anniversary which I love. Nordstrom has a bunch of other fun options here at all price points.

Tell me how you’d style this maxi below! Xo Mindy
