Hi ladies! Happy Friday. I’m so excited because it’s finally spring in Boston. There is greenery popping up, flowers in bloom and sunshine! Yippee. With this great weather, they are working on opening the pool at our apartment so it’s got me thinking all about swimwear. Living in New England, we’re at the beach frequently so I like to have a few swimsuits on deck for the summer.

Today I’ll share a few bikinis and one pieces that have caught my eye along with other essentials I always throw into my pool bag.

When it comes to swimwear, I’m really picky because of my body shape. I have a small chest, but very wide, bony hips so I can look a bit disproportional. Due to that, I like to wear tops that flatter small chests like bandeaus. This one in particular gives ya a bit more oomph and the color selection is great.

When it comes to bottom, I’m just as picky. I like to have full coverage on my bum and mid rise. The bottoms to the suit I just mentioned are perfect! Not only is the coverage great, but they are fold over bottoms meaning you can decide how low or high you want them for your specific body. I found these ‘fold over’ type bottoms last year and really suggest the fit.

One pieces are all the trend this summer, just as they have been for a couple years. I have yet to find one that fits my body well, but I think the key is grabbing one that is off the shoulder or with adjustable straps to again, add a touch of flexibility to fit your body! I grabbed the bikini version of this ruffled QT last year and really think the full piece is adorable! If you’re a bride-to-be, this swimsuit is perfect for any beach side bachelorette celebrations or a tropical honeymoon! I’ll let you know once I find a great full piece. I am eyeing this one due to the feminine, flirty details!

SHOP ONE PIECE BATHINSUITS

So far, I have order this swimsuit because of the 90’s vibes and I know it’ll flatter a small chest. The rainbow threading is super adorable. I also will be grabbing this cover up and this one. Both are so classy and pretty. This button up cover up has caught my eye too! This palm print bikini is under $30!

SHOP BIKINIS

For accessories, flip flops, face sunscreen, body sunscreen [doesn’t strip your self tanner!] and a great tote are needed. I have been slow to hop on the straw bag trend because I’m really picky when it comes to handbags. I just ordered this straw tote and cannot wait to use it for the pool, but also the weekend and Maine beach trips! I love that is has a lining inside and it’s under $100. The star detailing is so cute and perfect for summer festivities.

Since I feel naked without earrings, I always throw on these simple gold studs before heading out!

Which swimsuit is your favorite?! Xo Mindy
