Summer Wedding Essentials

If you know me in real life, you know that I love LOVE. Give me some girl talk and a love story and I’ll be smiling from ear-to-ear. I love hearing about how couples met, how they got engaged and of course all things wedding related!

Right now I’m actually a bridesmaid in three of my friends weddings! S is a groomsmen in two of them too so I can’t wait to be all dressed up together. While my outfits for these three weddings are going to be set in stone, we have weddings coming up that we are attending as regular guests. With a chunk of our friends group now engaged, I needed to grab some summer wedding essentials in order to be prepared for all the festivities.
With wedding season approaching, today I’m partnering with Naturalizer to share summer wedding essentials to life some of the stress of you!

1.HEELS
When it comes to footwear, I go for quality over quantity and this is especially true for heels. If you find the perfect essential pair you don’t need to repurchase for multiple occasions! And for wedding season, the right heel can get you from a formal black tie reception to a boho outdoors ceremony. They key? Find a pair in a neutral hue, mid heel height, open toed with an ankle strap.  I find that this type is the most versatile!

My favorite as of late? The Kinsley Heel from Naturalizer. This is hands down the most comfortable heel I own! Not only are the elegant and versatile, but they will let me boogie on the dance floor because #priorities. They come in a vast array of colors as you can see here and are under $90.
2. DRESSES
The location and vibes for each of the weddings we are attending really vary. Some are black tie in a grand ballroom, some are very preppy New England seaside and my bestie Hannah’s is in GORGEOUS Charleston. To say the least, I have a mix of dresses I need this year and you may be in the same boat!

The dress I’m sharing today would be perfect for an outside wedding you’ll be attending this summer (more on the gown later in the post). I will definitely be wearing this for my bestie’s rehearsal dinner and as a guest to a wedding we have coming up.

3. ACCESSORIES
Accessories is where I suggest having fun! I love playing with accessories because you can try out new trends without spending a large chunk of money on something that may be “out” next season. I feel comfortable spending $20 on a pair of earrings that may not be “in” next year or a $50 bag that is hot right now, but may not be next year.

For this summer, I’ll be living in statement earrings as I always do, but also tote a straw handbag. This one is under $50 and super versatile. I recently grabbed this one as well and adore the floral detailing!

Okay so are you dying for details on this maxi?! This dress is hands down my favorite item I’ve ever shared on the blog. I really lucked out with it because maxi dresses never fit or flatter me. They are usually too short or just make me look like a sack of potatoes. I wasn’t hopeful for this one, but when I saw it, it was so feminine and flirty that I just had to try it. I’m SO happy I did! It’d be perfect for any summer weddings you have coming up.

The ruffle detailing is so flirty and the cut out detailing on the torso is super cute without being revealing. And the print.. how gorg is it?!

When I put it on to shoot this post, S said it was made for me. Zero alterations were needed. It fits like a glove from the bodice, through the hips and in length. AHH So if your body type is similar to mine – small chested and tall – this ruffled maxi dress will probably fit you perfectly off the rack.It runs true to size and is under $110!
