Hi girls! I’m here to provide some outfit inspo for my office ladies. If you don’t work in an office, a lot of these pieces can easily be worn on the weekend too!

In case you just started reading A Mix of Min, I work in marketing at a really awesome company. After graduation with my marketing degree, I started working in Marketing Operations. Then after a couple years, I started at my current company as a Demand Generation manager.

Both of the companies I’ve worked at have very chill dress codes so I’m not your go-to for super formal work wear, but I do think with a couple tweaks of footwear and layers, these could meet your needs. With all that said, I do like to dress up for work so you’ll see me in blazers, black slacks and blouses. If you work at chill software companies like me or work in a creative field like marketing or design, these outfit ideas will probably fit your office style.

If you are like a lot of my friends that work in finance or just more traditional dress codes, I’d suggest swapping out my flats with heels and having this blazer [I share sizing below.. this is a gem!] on deck to throw on over blouses.

Just as my day-to-day style, I am drawn to feminine pieces [lace, ruffles and flowy-ness] that are great quality, versatile [think solid colors over prints] and comfy. As a heads up, I will not ever share something that I can’t wear comfortable for a 10 hour day [probably why you see no heels in this post lol].

I hope this helps you source some new office OOTD prices or just fee reinspired by some similar pieces you have in your closet! Xo Mindy

TOP: This grogeous lace top dresses up a pair of denim jeans on casual Friday or an everyday chino pant. There are buttons on the back of the neck and it’s double lined from the torso up. The greyish hue is the perfect neutral. I went one size down as this retailer usually runs large on my short torso.

PANTS: These $25 chinos are the BEST. They are very flattering because the material smooths you out, plus the slight stretch makes them really comfy. I have them in lots of colors [for $25, why not?!] and wear them to work with a blouse or on the weekend with an oversized sweater. They run TTS.

Note that these chinos go in an out of stock, so the olive color is currently sold out, but they will come back in stock periodically. I also wear the navy, light grey and dark grey a lot.

FLATS: These are a few years old, but I found a super similar neutral $35 pair!

TOP: Sad to report that this pretty, feminine blouse sold out so quickly! I’m going to link it here in case it comes back in stock. If it does, note that I always go down one size in this brand since I’m small chested. If you have a larger bust, I’d say stick to your normal size.

To make up for this pretty top beings old out, I linked a bunch of other cute ruffle blouses in the widget below.

PANTS: These are the best black slacks EVER! They are a thick, flattering material, but have a comfy stretch. The mid rise is perfect and I have gotten used to the ‘ankle cut’. I’d suggest them to anyone that needs black slacks and they are worth every penny in my book. Full review of these pants here.

FLATS: I’m wearing Valentino flats, but here is a budget-friendly black pointed toe flat under $50!

TOP: With work wear, I think of having a blank slate on one half, to then play up and have fun with the other! Usually our bottom half lives as the blank slate since black slacks and skirts are traditional, but I love a flattering, fun pant.

In order to be equipped to style fun bottoms, I like to keep a stock of different plain black or white blouses. Honestly, I even wear my black blouses with black slacks, leaving the whole outfit a blank slate to then add in a fun statement necklace or fancy flat!

You just can’t go wrong with a black blouse. This one has pretty flutter sleeves and is a nice breathable material. While some of the colors that this top comes in are see through, I get away without a cami for this black color. It runs true to size.

PANTS: After building the essential foundation to your work wear wardrobe,  you can move on to starting to add in some fun bottoms like flower pants, checkered pants and my personal favorite – camo chinos.

Okay, I admit that these may not be for everyone’s work environment. Many of my friends work in finance, so these may not make the cut for dress code, but for those of you that work in more causal environments like me, these can work for you if you just keep everything else in your outfit toned down.

In case mine are sold out in your size, here and here are similar camo pants from retailers I trust!

EARRINGS: I wear these gold earrings just about every day of the week. They are super light. I typically stick to studs when my hair is up, but since these are super dainty I feel like they don’t look overkill with a pony.

TOP: This is probably my favorite work outfit as of lately. To start with the bottom layer, I’m wearing this black tank top which runs true to size and actually comes in five colors. The straps are adjustable and it’s under $40. Having a flowy black tank like this in your closet is wonderful because you can wear it a LOT.. to date night or the office.

On top, I layered on this sleek blazer. With blazers, I’m super picky and own only two! I’d honestly say I’ve tried on 50+ in my working career. This one is my favorite. Most blazers are boxy, heavy, masculine, ill fitting and uncomfortable. This one is the opposite of each! I’ve owned it for years and styled it here. Grab your normal size.

PANTS: OMG! It may be hard to tell, but these pants are LACE and have an ELASTIC WAIST! Double score! It’s only January, but I think come the end of the year these will make my top 10 favorite purchases. They are 36% off today and worth every dang penny.

I actually purchased them for NYE with my fingers crossed they could work for the office too [and they do!]. Online it says they run large, but they run true to size for me. I have big, bony hips and a booty so if you are an athletic build then you ay want to size down.

FLATS: Here are my black flats. I wear them almost every day of the work week. While an investment, you’re on your feet at work for 40+ hours a week so they are worth it. I was running through black flats like hot cakes before buying this brand. For sizing, I went up 1/2 a size in them.

TOP: This is the same top as the black blouse above styled with camo pants, but pink! This color does require a cami on underneath. I think this would look super cute on casual Friday with dark wash skinnies! I styled it here with these lace pants.

Okay, tell me! Which look is your fave?
