Happy Friday’s Eve! Am I jumping on the weekend a bit too soon? Probably, but I’m excited!
After a few busy weeks, S and I made a weekend of no plans and will work on our yard together. If you would have told me 12 year old self that I would be 28 and excited to do yard work, I wouldn’t believe you haha.
We bought our house with two garden areas surrounding the front porch so we are sprucing it up with tile pavers, moving around the plants and ditching the old red mulch for black mulch. I’ll share the details on my home Instagram account!
On Sunday, Muenster and S have some surprise going on for furmomma’s day lol! Speaking of Mother’s Day, I wanted to share a look into this collaboration I did with HomeGoods recently!
For my mother-in-law, S and I created a hostess gift basket and had so much fun! If you haven’t bought a Mother’s Day gift yet, I wanted to share this DIY git basket so you can pop over in store to make it. Just head to HomeGoods and follow the steps below 🙂
Find Your Basket: HomeGoods has so many options for baskets in all varying sizes. You could also find a big pasta bowl or serving tray to house everything in too.
Decide on a Theme: We did a hostess theme and centered it around Italian treats and kitchen goodies, but for your mom you could also do a spa theme with beauty masks, candles and bath milk!
Pick your Goodies: HomeGoods has so many fancy pastas, gourmet sauces, yummy biscotti and pretty olive oils so we added a few of each! We also tucked in some wooden serving utensils, floral oven mitts and Italian seasonings.
Personal Touch: While the entire gift basket you make will be thoughtful, find one item that is real personal, finishing touch. For ours, S and I added a glass rooster because my MIL loves roosters! You can’t see him the photos because we found him as we were on our way to check out, but trust me that he’s so cute!
Button It Up: Now that you’ve made your gift basket, add a bow and a card – voila! I recently stocked up on these 3D cards because they are simply stunning! I have a box full since we have so many baby showers, weddings and bridal showers coming up and I don’t want to feel rushed to write out a thoughtful card for each special person in our lives.
What are you getting the momma’s in your life for Mother’s Day to say thank you for all that they do? Tell me in the comments below! Xo Mindy
