MAKEUP Routine

  1. BASE: PRIMER I CONCEALER I FOUNDATION I BLENDER SPONGE I SETTING POWDER
  2. COLOR: CREAM BRONZER I LIQUID BLUSH ‘DOLCE VITA’ I BRUSH
  3. EYES & BROWS: BROW WIZ ‘SOFT BROWN’ I MASCARA

Happy Tuesday, friends! I wanted to share an updated makeup routine. My current MBA class wraps up this week so I have a week off and wanted to make use some free time 😛 to share! Although it is a lot of products for some, this is a simplified routine for me and takes me ten minutes.

While I describe the highlights of each within the collage here are some other details of the products I love –

IT COSMETICS YOUR SKIN BUT BETTER FOUNDATION
While this is called a foundation, it’s really a CC cream. It’s weird because their cult favorite CC cream, that I also love, is much more like a foundation. They seem to be swapped. I have never found a CC creams I like. I’d prefer to either have some coverage and color or nothing at all. This product though.. so worth it! It’s super light and feels like you have nothing on, but it gives great color and lots of coverage.

TATCHA SILK CANVAS PRIMER
Oftentimes I know when a skincare or makeup product is that good once I stop using it because it runs out. That happened with this primer. When I ran out, I noticed my makeup simply just didn’t look as polished or fresh. It’s now 100% my holy grail and it’s not even worth me testing other primers that brands send. Primers are important beacause they create a seamless canvas between your skin and base products (foundation, concealer) in order for

IT COSMETICS BYE BYE PORES SETING POWDER
Just as important as a primer.. is a setting powder! This step will lock in your products and reduce any settling into fine lines. Not all setting powders are made equal though. While I have three I like, this one is always my favorite and has been for over four years. It truly keeps makeup in place and also smooths away pores.

ANASTASIA BROW WIZ
I think I’ve used this for over a decade! Although I’ve tried an endless amount of brow products from PR packages, nothing beats this one. The range of color shares allows for a fit for everyone. The size of the tip is perfect to mimic brow hairs and the product doesn’t flake or smudge during the day. I wear share “soft brown” and have naturally ashy brown hair with blonde highlights.

NARS LIQUID BLUSH
I’ve primarily switched my routine over to all cream or liquid products. I find that they blend easier, look more natural and also are best for dry skin. Powder just makes me look dry! I was originally going to try the coral version of this, but it was sold out so I snagged ‘Dolce Vita’ which I’ve found to be the best everyday color. If you’ve purchased this blush that I’ve raved about for years in shade ‘Paaaaarty’ (and still recommend if you want a powder), it’s virtually the same shade! This bottle will last you forever because you need the tiniest dot to have huge color pay off. Also the color in the bottle is much darker and intimidating than it actually shows on skin.

TARTE SEA BREEZY CREAM BRONZER
Another one that looks much darker in package than it really is so don’t be intimidated! Even ladies much more fair than me use and rave about this. I love that it’s cream so it blends easily and has no sparkle to it. I am not a fan of blush, bronzer.. anything with sparkle other than lipgloss. I don’t want to look like a disco ball in the sun haha. I highly suggest trying this if you need a touch of warmth to your skin this spring and summer.

Also! I forgot to add this lip gloss to this round up and OMG I loooooove it! The formula is amazing. I grabbed color ‘Paid Off’ which is a beautiful mauve with a hint of sparkle. Although masks block my favorite makeup.. lip products!!.. it’s still fun to wear on work Zoom calls.

Sephora’s VIB sale will be coming up around April so wait to buy if you can and take advantage of a discount.
