Dressing for fall weddings here in New England can be a challenge because our weather is extremely unpredictable. One day it’s 97% humidity and scorching hot, then the next day it’s a whopping 50 degrees and misting rain. You’d think my wardrobe would range from spaghetti straps and sweat beads, allll the way to a sweater dress and ponchos. #yup.

Then this Lulu’s wrap dress came into my life and all my unpredictable New England weather tragedies were diverted! Seriously though, the material is light enough for hot temps and the sleeves give you just enough coverage for a chilly, fall wedding. And the fit is out of this world! The synch hits right below the chest [very flattering for ladies with big ol’ hips like me]. I wore this beautiful magenta wrap dress to S’s Master’s graduation a few years ago [Mother Nature decided to rain AND be 90* HA]. Two years later and Lulu’s still has this dress in stock and in a wide range of colors for a reason – it’s universally flattering and perfect for any weather. I have a few September and October weddings coming my way and this pretty little thing will be making an appearance on the dance floor!

Now let’s chat about shoes! Some of you girls can rock the 4 inch heels from 8am to 10pm. You ROCK, but I am not one of you! My legs are so long and I do not need an extra 4 inches to monitor throughout the day. I instantly become even clumsier than I already am. The perfect heel height for me [and all my other long-legged girlfriends] is 3 inches. I swearrr the extra inch makes a huge difference! I’ve been ranting and raving about these BP heels that are similar to the Steve Madden Stecy heel… minus the one inch!

The great thing about a solid colored dress if you can really let your personality shine through with your accessories! I paired my magenta wrap dress with the nude BP heel to keep everything neutral so I could go a little wild with this snakeskin clutch. I am usually a leopard girl, but instantly fell in love with this Rebecca Minkoff snakeskin print (swoon). Pick an item of focus [like a printed clutch or floral heels] and keep the other outfit pieces neutral.

Does anyone else have some fall weddings to attend? Is it just me or did ‘wedding season’ change from June to September? All my family and friends are tying the knot in the later months of this year and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m the girl crying at the reception [every.single.time].

Thanks for reading, loves. Keep scrolling for outfit details. Xoxo, Mindy

So fab! I have a short-sleeve one that's similar, but I def need one like this too. The weather in OK is cray also – it was randomly in the 60s last week when it's usually at least 100 degrees!
