This time of year, New England is like living in a beautiful painting. Orange leaves whisping to the ground while the tree next door morphs from summer green to a bright red hue. All while the crisp autumn air is just so refreshing.
After being raised in New England, I don’t think I’ll ever call somewhere else ‘home’. The more I travel and explore the world, the more I truly appreciate my roots and of course – the beauty of having four seasons year round. With that being said, much of the year is chilly here in the Northeast. From October to March, it isn’t an oddity to have snow touch the ground or even just to have very brisk mornings. While many times tourists can’t bear the cold months, the chilly days are some of my favorites! Of course cold months can be very tricky to dress for. There’s a line between looking like the Michelin Man all bundled up and feeling like your clothing represents your personal style. This is why Ugg is a brand I simply cannot live without.
Almost every year I’d have a pair of fluffy brand new Ugg boots sitting under the Christmas tree from Santa. While in high school and college, it was so fun building up a collection of boots that were not only stylish and felt like ‘me’, but also maintained my toes warmth through a rigid Maine winter. Ugg boots are worth every penny of investment because they last year over year. Seriously – I still have every Ugg boot I’ve ever been gifted or purchased, even my very first pair from 2009!
When it’s cold eight months out of the year, you deserve to treat yo’ self and invest in a boot that won’t wear down. I get so excited every October to treat myself to a new pair of classic Ugg boots in a different height and color. If you’re a commuter, footwear is so important. I highly suggest throwing the Kara Classic Slim in black over your tights or work pants for the subway ride or walk into the office. They’re cute, comfy and super versatile.
This year, Ugg completely transformed their traditional boot with the Classic Slim Collection. If you’ve worn their boots in the past, you’ll be surprised to find that they now sport a small wedge for added arch support alongside their innovative ‘Treadlite by Ugg’ technology for an incredibly lightweight cushion, great traction and increased durability. You really feel like you’re walking on air!
I paired my Amie Classic Slim boots with an essential pair of white jeans, a chunky cowl neck sweater and a bold red lip. If you’ve been wanting to stock up on some cozy sweaters, I linked some up below. I’ve been living in this one because it’s perfect with leggings if you size up! thank you for stopping by! Xoxo Mindy

This makes me miss New England, especially this time of year!
I have never owned a pair of UGG boots! Although they’re starting to come out with styles that look nothing like their normal boots, so maybe I’ll get a pair one of these days!
