A few months ago I shared a really cute leopard dress that had long sleeves and a cinched elastic waist. It sold out so fast that many of you did’t have the opportunity to get our hands on it.

Since this is my favorite dress style to wear, and you all certainly like it as well, I snatched this one up as soon as I saw it in-store! This weekend is my birthday so I also figured it was the perfect little number for the celebrations S planned for me. He always puts so much thought into my birthday and has a weekend full of surprises. I can’t wait!!

While the price of this dress is a bit higher than I normally spend on a whim, I justified this due to the versatility and quality of the dress. This dress is black which means it’s basically a plan canvas for styling. Here are are few ways I know I’l wear it

9 STYLING IDEAS FOR THIS CHIC LITTLE BLACK DRESS

THIS DRESS STYLED FOR THE OFFICE

1. With my favorite tights and black flats for winter.
2. With high heels and an on-trend headband like today.
3. With a blazer for presentations.
4. With black booties and a light sweater layered over the top and tied at the waist for fall. 

THIS DRESS STYLED FOR A CASUAL WEEKEND

5. With white v neck tshirt layered over and knotted at the waist and easy slide sandals during the summer.
6. With a chambray button up and white tennis sneakers for a baseball game (styled this and it’s coming to the blog next week!).
7. With a jean jacket and a bright colored pointed toe flat for running errands.

8. With a faux leather jacket layered over and fun tights for a well- balanced feminine and edgy take.
9. With a pink suede jacket and neutral pointed toe flats.

But really.. that’s just nine quick ways I knew I’d be able to style this dress off the top of my head for three different occasions!

When a piece that is very flattering on your figure and very high quality, but can also be worn so many ways, it’s easily justified in my book!

To speak to the fit, I grabbed my normal size. The sleeves do have working buttons on the end as you can see in the photo below. The chest area doesn’t have a button, so I’ll sow one on easily, but for now I just used fashion tape. 

As for a budget find, how adorable is this velvet headband?! It’s a designer dupe. Not only that, but the pack comes with three pearl headbands, in cream, mauve, black, all for for $14.
