2019 was the first full year we had in our first home! When reflecting on all the projects we worked on through 2019, it’s crazy! We really made a house feel like our cozy, relaxing home. Here’s some of the run projects we documented –

Phew! We have made headway in decorating other rooms which I can’t wait to share in the coming months once finished 🙂

Today I wanted to continue sharing the 2019 Top 9 with covering home products that made the biggest difference in our home and our lives this year.

2019 Top 9: Home Products We Loved the Most

1. Allswell Supreme Mattress

You know when you do something or buy something that you’ve been considering for so long and then regret not doing it sooner? That’s us upgrading our old queen mattress to the Allswell Supreme king mattress. Oh my gosh. S is a hard one to win over, but this mattress did it! Anytime we are away from our own bed, we say how much we wish we were sleeping on this mattress lol.

At first I was skeptical about ordering a mattress without being able to test it in person first because we both like different softness/firmness in a mattress, but Allswell offered to send me it to try so I gave it a go. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s the perfect mix of soft and firm.

Other things we love about it? You can’t feel any motion. From Muenster jumping on the bed or me getting up in the middle of the night, the other person sleeping is never disturbed. This is a huge difference from our last bed! You would wake up from the other person just rolling over. Not with this one!

On every purchase you get a 10 year warranty (!!!) and free shipping. Plus, you get a 100 night risk-free sleep trial. Don’t like it? Return it with no questions asked!

I have been telling all our friends and every I work with about this mattress. I cannot suggest it enough.

2. Percale Sheets

When our mattress was delivered, we were still waiting on our king size sheets to arrive. We just couldn’t wait any longer, purely out of excitement, to sleep on it so we ran to Target and got a nice sheet set so that we could just rotate between two each week… rather than wait for one set each week to wash and dry.

So, both sheet sets are very nice – breathable, cooling, 100% organic cotton, soft and a bit silky to the touch.

That said… there is something about the Allswell Percale Sheets

Again, our Target sheets don’t have anything wrong with them and I don’t really have any complaints about them, but I just notice a difference when this set is on our bed.

So much so I told S I want to get another set so that I can sleep in them every night lol. If you’re in the market for sheets, I cannot suggest them enough! They just lowered their king sheets price from $175 to $112 too!

3. Stasher Bags

There isn’t a day in our house that we don’t use Stasher bags. When organizing our kitchen with the Container Store, I opted to get these reusable baggies in all sizes – snack, sandwich, half gallon and half gallon standing.

Since having these reusable baggies, we don’t reach for one-use baggies at all anymore which are bad for the environment and can also add up quickly.

Not only are they better for the environment, but they also are super easy to clean in the dishwasher, make grabbing healthy snacks on the go fast and since the closer is air tight, they keep food much more fresh (especially in the freezer).

We use Stasher bags for so many things –

  • for our work lunches
  • for storing leftovers
  • for marinating dinner
  • for storing prepped veggies in the fridge
  • for storing smoothie ingredients in the freezer to grab and throw in the blender
  • for storing fruits and veggies in the freezer to reduce freezer burn
  • for storing snacks in our pantry

And that’s all just some of the uses for the kitchen! I use them all the time for travel and keeping my tote organized too.

You can shop them at many stores like Amazon, Anthropologie, The Container Store, Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Our local Anthropologie has them in store as well in case you want to check them out in person.

4. Dyson V8 Vacuum

We’ve needed a vacuum upgrade for awhile so we recently purchased the Dyson V8 vacuum which I LOVE. I have vacuumed twice a day for a month straight 😆 and not having litter under out feet all the time is very nice 😉

The Dyson V8 is super light, cordless :-), cleans very well and is easy to move to all three levels of our house.

5. Serena & Lily Towels

When partnering on revamping our guest room and bathroom for the holidays, Serena and Lily sent me a few of their Napa bath towel sets

After seeing how much water they soak up and how soft an thick they were, we upgraded all our towels in our home to these.

Growing up, my dad always had one color towel set per bathroom so that when doing laundry, you know exactly what bathroom they belong in so we have the Coastal Blue, White and Smoke. I also like the thought of having guest-designated towels so they are always in the closet ready for sleepovers.

I really cannot suggest these Serena & Lil towels enough!

6. Velvet Sectional Couch

At the beginning of 2019, I partnered with Raymour and Flannigan to find the modular couch of our dreams! This couch really transformed our living room. The low height and light grey color made the room more open and airy while the sectional style allowed us to really optimize lounging space and seating for guests. I also love the velvet material, gold legs and the modern design. We love it!

You can read this blog post for a full review or shop the smaller size sectional here.

7. Hurom Juicer

I love fresh juice! Juice Press is one of my favorite treats, but at $7-12 a juice, it adds up fast. I’ve had various juicers since college, but this one is by far my favorite and not just because it’s super adorable. It’s a slow juicer, so your fruits and veggies don’t heat up which means the nutrients stay within the juice. The real winning part? It’s SO EASY to dissemble, assemble and clean! Any juicer I’ve had in the past is so hard to put together and such a pain to clean, I didn’t use it half the time that I really wanted to.

From fresh OJ on Saturday morning to an afternoon green juice, I use it twice a day sometimes! That shows how easy it is to clean and put together. You can purchase it from Amazon or Bed, Bath & Beyond

8. TV Console

Another product that transformed our space was this Target rattan TV console. It’s SO CUTE! I love the textured door detailing because it hides internet and cable devices, but the rattan material allows remotes to hit them.

We have the three door version, but there is also a two door chest available.

9. Lazy Susan

And now for the organizational product we use in basically every room – lazy susan turntables. From this one in our pantry and bathroom vanities, to this one under our kitchen sink, both types helps keep products organized and quickly accessible.
